Daniela Martinez (she/her) is a senior studying political science and history and is pre-law. Outside of club, Daniela is the Communications Director for the Central Student Government and is the treasurer of the WGC-affiliated Midnight Blue! She is incredibly excited and honored to have the opportunity to lead her fellow singers this academic year as their president. Daniela strives to support each and every clubber in all things Glee and life to the best of her abilities. She loves Glee so much, and hopes to make it a safe space for fellow treble singers to make friends, find joy, and make killer music.
The President presides over general Glee Club business and Executive Board Meetings, is a member on all committees, ensures that officers are performing their duties, works with the Music Director, plans retreat, provides a handbook to each member, and acts as the official representative of the Women’s Glee Club.
Fiona (she/her) is a senior majoring in Spanish and minoring in Museum Studies. She is an Alto 1 and loves singing with her siblings in song. Fiona is in her last semester at U of M and in Glee, and is so grateful for the opportunity to be Vice President for the club she loves so much. After graduation, Fiona plans on entering into a career in librarianship/archives.
The Vice President assumes duties and delegations of the President when they are unable to complete them, knows and enacts the constitution when necessary, compiles a list of changes to the constitution, and creates operational committees as needed. Furthermore, the Vice President oversees all programs and correspondence involving alumni and friends’ relations.
Emma (she/her) is from Oak Lawn, Illinois and a junior studying Chemistry and Spanish on the pre-med track. Being the secretary allows her to get to know all of the amazing singers in our club! Outside of academics and glee, she is involved in volunteering, working as a Diversity Peer Educator in Michigan Housing, and researching. She feels so lucky to continue her singing career in glee and to have a supportive community with such amazing people here at Michigan!
The Secretary takes attendance at all mandatory functions, records minutes at Executive Board Meetings, collects attendance from committee meetings, updates email groups, and posts attendance and meetings to our course Canvas page.
Allison (she/her) is a Junior studying Pharmaceutical Sciences with a minor in Gender and Health. This is her 6th semester in Women’s Glee Club, and she loves helping the group with their financial goals, as well as singing with her friends! Outside of glee, she is involved in many professional organizations, works as a pharmacy technician, and spends time with her lovely roommates. Next year, Allison will begin her PharmD at the University of Michigan, hoping to become a Clinical Pharmacist with a focus on infectious disease.
The finance manager renews and balances all financial accounts of the Glee Club, collects and distributes funds, including Glee Club dues, prepares a budget for the Executive Board, and organizes the Grant-Writing Committee.
Lena (she/her) is senior studying Global Environment and Health with a minor in Mandarin Chinese. After graduation, she plans to go to law school to pursue a career in environmental and/or civil rights law. When she is not singing, she enjoys cooking, reading and being outside!
The Publicity Manager is responsible for publicity production including fliers and advertisements, appoints and supervises a Publicity Committee, runs WGC social media, and assists in selling Glee Club merchandise.
Michelle (she/her) is a senior from Ann Arbor, MI and is studying User Experience Design with a minor in German. She is most interested in working in logo design and branding. Baking, cooking, Mario Kart, and the occasional bit of exercise take up most of her free time; she’s also planning to become a published fiction author someday! For WGC, Michelle is most focused on a seamless concert day experience, as well as delivering a great concert that everyone can feel proud of!
The Concert Manager coordinates program production, planning of concert day activities, organizes ticket distribution and sales, organizes and provides new members with dresses, and arranges for recording of the concert.
DEI Manager (External)
Victoria (she/her) is a senior majoring in Communication and Media and minoring in Music. Her hobbies include reading, word searches, photography, watching YouTube and TikToks, eating good food, and hanging out with family and friends. Throughout her time in WGC, Victoria has worked toward building a more inviting and diverse community within glee club so that everyone, no matter their background can feel safe and accepted within the glee family.
The External DEI Manager is responsible for coordinating outreach and incorporating greater DEI issues into the focus of club. They act as a liaison between students and Eboard/faculty for any DEI-related issues that may arise.
DEI Manager (Internal)
Katie (she/her) is a senior studying Gender and Health with a minor in Music. After she graduates in May, she will move to Madison, WI to improve healthcare software and outcomes with Epic! Outside of school, she loves to knit, crochet, and take care of her many plants. Glee has been the best part of her college experience, and she can’t imagine her life without it. She is so proud to be a part of this club, and hopes to make it a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive place!
The Internal DEI Manager is responsible for involving clubbers in further education surrounding DEI topics, as well as promoting discussion regarding DEI issues that impact club directly. They act as a liaison between students and Eboard/faculty for any DEI-related issues that may arise.
Kat (she/her) is a senior studying evolutionary anthropology with a minor in the sociology of health and medicine. Following graduation, she is planning on continuing into grad school for her masters in public health in epidemiology! As outreach, she hopes to extend the joy of Glee to the surrounding Ann Arbor community and to extend our volunteer opportunities.
The Outreach Manager leads all club outreach efforts, organizes non-Hill performances (such as the Pre-Hill Concert and Cabaret) and supports small group sings. They help to strengthen the connections between WGC and our greater community.
Hannah (she/her) is a chemistry major from Midland, Michigan. After graduation, she plans to pursue a masters in chemistry, likely somewhere on the west coast. She’s so excited to help plan Glee Club’s upcoming tour to Nashville, Tennessee!
The Tour Manager is responsible for planning and coordinating WGC’s annual tours, both domestic and international. For more information on our travels, check out our tour page!
