Alumni Relations

For over 125 years, Women’s Glee has been providing a community for women on the University of Michigan’s campus, but that community only expands after graduation. With over 700 active alumni, alumni relations is vital in maintaining our community. Alumni relations is building community and maintaining friendships through communication, performance opportunities, and a biannual newsletter, the most recent edition of which is attached here. If you are an alum who is interested in reconnecting with your siblings in song, please fill out the following contact form.

The Women’s Glee Club Bicentennial Scholarship Initiative

2017 marked the 200th anniversary of the founding of the University of Michigan. It acted as a time to reflect on where we have come from as a University, and where we hope to go as our history progresses forward. Our concert themes in 2017 focused on “Looking Back” and “Reaching Forward” in order to highlight this monumental year for our University and our organization.

As the bicentennial approached, the theme of legacy crossed our minds. In order to cement our own legacy, we decided that we would like to make a contribution as members of the Women’s Glee Club and our alumni network in the form of an endowed scholarship that acts as a gift from the WGC Class of 2017. Creating a scholarship is important to us, because our organization has yet to establish a scholarship that is explicitly from our alumni and ourselves. An endowed scholarship will have a perpetual impact on the members of our ensemble.

The Class of 2017 contributed the initial funds to begin this scholarship initiative. If you would like to support their efforts and pledge to this scholarship initiative yourself, you may give a gift using the giving link below. Thank you in advance for your support!
