Joy is a senior in the College of Literature, Sciences, and the Arts majoring in Psychology with a minor in Community Action and Social Change through the School of Social. Although she is from Hillsdale, MI, she went to high school in Rome, Georgia and still feels a strong connection to the South. Outside of Glee, Joy is a Consent, Outreach, and Relationship Education (CORE) volunteer for the Sexual Assault Prevention and Awareness Center. In her free time she likes to read books, fight social inequity, talk to her niece and nephew, and watch her favorite Glee cast, Broadway, and the Voice covers. Her favorite parts of WGC is that no one accepts mediocrity – “we all strive to be our best and that is fantastic” and the strong women she is so lucky to be surrounded by twice a week.
Katherine is a Junior from Bay City, Michigan, who studies English and Music. When she’s not singing with her Sisters in Song, you can find her in a meeting for the Pre-Law Society or with a book. In her free time, she enjoys photography and calligraphy, in addition to color-coding everything in sight. Katherine’s favorite things about being a member of Women’s Glee Club are the bonds she has formed with her friends in club and the fact that she has the ability to sing in a collegiate choir.
Jenna is a junior from Clinton Township MI studying Economics and Organizational Studies. Outside of Women’s Glee Club, she is an Honors Resident Advisor in South Quad and is a member of Alpha Gamma Delta. She loves being crafty, reading, and watching Marvel movies; but most of all she loves spending time with her sisters in song and being involved in the welcoming community WGC creates!
Abby is a senior from Grand Rapids, MI studying Industrial & Operations Engineering. Outside of club, she is a member of Alpha Gamma Delta and the College of Engineering Undergraduate Student Advisory Board. Some of her favorite things are dogs, football Saturdays, baking, boating, iced coffee, and the color navy. Abby’s favorite aspect of being in club is the opportunity to interact and make friends with women from all over campus.
Erica is a Senior from Bloomfield Hills, MI, majoring in Accounting in the Ross School of Business with a minor in Music. Outside of Glee Club, she is a member of Alpha Gamma Delta, and a TA and tutor at Ross. Erica loves WGC because it keeps her singing and has introduced her to some of her best friends. Her favorite things to do are spend time with her friends and family and watch reality TV, and she will always stop to pet a dog.
Jackie is a Junior from Escanaba, MI majoring in Biomedical Engineering. Outside of club she is a member of the Michigan Marching Band in the flags section and the Michigan Winter Ensemble. She loves being active and social but also enjoys just sitting down with some Netflix and snacks. Her favorite part about being in Women’s Glee Club is getting to travel and sing at so many different and amazing venues. She can’t wait to start singing with her new and returning sisters in song.
Alyssa is a sophomore studying Biochemistry with a minor in Music. Outside of Women’s Glee, she is a director of Heal-Move-Shift, a nonprofit which teaches 9th graders from underserved populations about mental health. She is also a research assistant in an Immunology lab and enjoys working as a caregiver for patients with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Alyssa’s favorite thing about being in WGC is learning new music and spending time with her sisters in song.
Lauren is a Junior from South Lyon, Michigan, studying Biology, Heath and Society. Outside of club, she is a volunteer at Mott Children’s Hospital and works at a research lab on campus. She loves baking, reading new books and listening to musicals and her favorite part about WGC is getting to know so many people from all different backgrounds.
